Payneham Road Uniting Church, Adelaide

State heritage listed Payneham Road Uniting Church was established in 1851 as a congregation of the Wesleyan Methodist Church. Its first buildings were in Henry Street, Payneham, and the current buildings were commenced in 1882. The congregation joined the union of Methodist Churches which took place in 1900, and shared in the union of Congregational, Methodist and Presbyterian Churches which established the Uniting Church in Australia in 1977.

The interior of the Payneham Road Uniting Church had not been repainted since the 1960’s. Lancaster Painters Australia were contracted to repaint and beautify the interior of the Church in January 2013.
